Status of Upcoming Releases - June 24, 2005

I have been working hard on the new version of Days of Knights (DOK2), and  
some of that work has turned up in FR!3 (see errata).  I am hoping to get  it 
out the first of July, but it might be delayed a month because of Chip's  
schedule.  He is starting on his PhD!  I just do not know if I can  learn to say 
Dr. Chip...
 
DOK2 has been extensively rewritten while keeping most of its feel.  I  am 
getting lots of "help" from the playtesters.  I believe it will be a  very 
tightly written and edited effort.
 
I am also working on our LPE spin off for the American Civil War, ACW  Rules! 
 Kent is going to host the playtest group, and I will be able to get  him the 
initial rules this weekend.  While much further along than DOK2 was  when we 
started the playtesting, there is still a lot of work to do.  We  have some 
very interesting pre battle roles for cavalry.
 
As for FR!3, Chip is working on getting the color pictures integrated with  
the test, and everything into one file.  It is difficult to put it in  exactly. 
 One of our players has integrated the pictures in fairly well,  but we are 
going to have to do a better job in order to publish it.
 
We have also done some work on FR!Lite.  We hope to get the FR! rules  down 
to less than 50 pages, and cut out a lot of rarely played rules.  This  would 
be more of a fast play campaign game.  We will change a few thing  (streamline 
the magic and characters), and change a couple of things in FR!3  (like the 
character results roll) to make as much as possible compatible across  the games.
